Well, sort of :) I hand sculpted a larger than life scary bear while working for a haunted house company. After sculpting the bear head, jaw and hands, I made molds and cast in a flexible foam. Then painted all parts, and assembled them onto the steel armature of the body. I then attached the fur around the entire body.

After casting the bear head in a flexible foam, I detail painted all parts and blended fake fur into the cast material.
After attaching the painted parts, I wrestled the fur on to cover the entire body, blending the fur into the foam cast parts. The 2x4 is propping up the body so that I could work underneath. Although it could also be the bear’s toothpick :)
